Our Studio partners with entrepreneurs from day one, developing new ideas, technologies and business models into high growth companies. Together with Nesta, the UK’s innovation agency for social good, we’re now creating ventures that deliver social impact by means of venture-backable scale. Our current focus is on how tech might help narrow the school readiness gap for children at age 5 in the UK and beyond. We’re looking for an experienced operator with entrepreneurial ambitions to take a new concept created and validated by our Venture Design team into the build phase. You will lead the venture as Founder & CEO with our investment and the full backing of Founders Factory.

The Opportunity:

At least 10% of children in the UK have a speech, language and communication need (with delays disproportionately affecting disadvantaged children), and as many 20% of adults have conditions that mean they could benefit from support with speech, language and communication. We see an opportunity to use the advances in AI, LLM and Conversational AI to disrupt the status quo of speech therapy by driving efficiencies, reducing cost and increasing access. It will deliver a high value, high impact service for less whilst, intrinsically, (i) generating a rare dataset (that currently does not exist) and (ii) self-training it’s models to provide a unique competitive advantage to be the market leader in AI speech therapy solution.

‘Ogma’ provides online speech and language therapy for children. We are putting AI in the hands of therapists to make more decisions at scale. By leveraging AI and LLM we can automate analogue processes to reduce the time and cost burden on therapists, in order to make therapy more accessible and affordable for everyone. What you'll bring

• Experienced founder, builder or operator capable of building a venture from scratch
• Proven ability to build a world-class team, attract customers and investors
• Evidence of thriving in ambiguous environments and a high aptitude for calculated risks
• A clear vision for the opportunity (including product direction) - with the drive and expertise to execute on it
• Interest in and/or connections to the speech and language market, lived experience of speech therapy, maybe having lived through the problem as parent, educator or SALT
• Enough of and an understanding of data and tech to have a gut feel for how AI works, what's feasible and what's not, enough appetite for tech to play around with chatGPT et al
• Have a strong commercial skill set - you can easily navigate financial forecasting, build partnerships and acquire customers
