Summary
RTW PRODUCTION AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
The Coordinator’s mission is to deliver a world class product that aligns with the ethos of The Deck. Responsible for the Ready to Wear Collections across product development and production, the Coordinator will work closely with the Design team, and suppliers to manage the production process for our ready-to-wear collection. They will also be responsible for overseeing the product development process and ensuring that all garments meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the Design team to understand the vision of each collection and create a production plan that meets the design requirements.
- Work with manufacturers and suppliers on existing and future projects.
- Plan, coordinate and execute projects from insights gathering to brief stage, through inception, development, costing, and into commercialisation (initiation / planning / execution / monitoring / closing).
- Proactively manages oversight of all order details and delivery timing. This includes and is not limited to technical packages, fabric, trim, manufacturing and logistics.
- Oversees the maintenance of all standards issued for brand excellence.
Sources options in materials and techniques while building a tight, strategic vendor base.
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing, manage production schedules, and resolve any production issues that arise.
- With the team, participates in on-going factory base performance reviews, and recommends improvements to factories, vendor base, and geography.
- Responsible for QC oversight , ensuring that all garments meet our standards for quality fit and craftsmanship.
- Work with the sales team to manage inventory levels and ensure that all products are delivered to the sales floor in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all production and product development processes comply with industry regulations and ethical standards.
- Implements process improvements for maximization of optimal speed and efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS/ SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree alongside over 5+ years in luxury product experience.
- Expert in luxury retail and aesthetic, understanding the needs of a luxury fashion environment and customer.
- Knowledge of fabrics and textiles and the ability to source high quality materials.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and production process.
- Experience with quality control processes and procedures.
- Experienced and proven leader with great management skills
- Passionate about making high-quality, timeless products in a responsible way.
- Process oriented thinker, constantly thinking about what could be done differently, better, more efficient and quick to implement or suggest changes.
- Excellent analytical ability and numerical skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, designers and other stakeholders.
- The ability to multi-task whilst maintaining attention to organization and detail.
